The Magnus Archives

Arguably the horror podcast.

One of the most famous podcasts online right now and for good reason. Made up of individual stories that eventually reveal themselves to be connected through powers and horros beyond what the human mind can comprehend. An office comedy!

There's a whole host of, if not likeable, then interesting characters and you'll very likely find a niche that you'll like. Not as much scary as it is unsettling and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

I have to admit that I never actually finished it ;w; but on my relisten I'm several episodes into season 5, so I foresee myself finishing it soon!

Red Valley

My favourite podcast!

Warren Godby and his only best friend go through hell because of capitalism. It's funny, it's miserable, it's completely and utterly imbedded itself in my grey matter, and its final season comes out this year.

I cannot recommend this podcast enough. If you're on tumblr and like many tumblr residents like pathetic wet cats of men then this! is! the show! for you!!!

Warren and Gordon are my blorbos, and they're each others everything, their right hands, their silly rabbits, and if everything doesn't work out for them in the final season the fallout of my reaction will be heard globally.

I refuse to apologise for the person I'll become when season 3 part 2 comes out.

I Am In Eskew

One of the best podcasts out there and I stand by that.

I have listened to the whole thing but I don't remember it all fully - just the abject misery it caused me!

I don't think I can overhype Eskew, it's a brilliant concept with brilliant execution in every way. I Am in Eskew follows David Ward in the fictional, living and breathing town of Eskew, following his daily life and daily struggles. Every episode is packed to the brim with excellent story-writing, acting and emotions so palpable it'll make you want to rot. Give it a listen.

The White Vault

So, you went digging somewhere you shouldn't have and now you're reaping the consequences?

It follows various crews and expeditions into icy areas for various reasons; repairs, study, rescue... and the mysteries and tragedies that unfold.

Season 1 finds us in Outpost Fristed, Svalbard, with a repair team. The season finale finds us in Outpost Fristed, Svalbard, alone.

In my opinion the first season is the best- not to discredit the other seasons though, they are very good, it's just that something about the character's predicament in season 1 stuck out to me more.

The Cellar Letters

Ongoing and very interesting.

Follow Nate as he moves across the country in the middle of a pandemic with his dog Bella and best friend Steve. Strange things start to happen as Nate finds boxes of strange letters in his basement and the mystery only unfolds from there.

It's good! I'm awaiting the next season, which I think is coming soon, and I encourage checking it out before it starts back up. The episodes are short and it's easily digestible. I think it'll resonate well with TMA fans.

Malevolent

A podcast where very little good happens.

The podcast itself is good, don't get me wrong, our main character is just not having the best time.

Very well made podcast, I believe still ongoing, and there were several parts that had my heart racing.

Taking a break from it because Arthur's constant-no-good-very-bad-day made me tired :/ not a detriment to the pod at all, I'm just built like that.

The Amelia Project

Unlike, well, all the other podcasts here, The Amelia Project is not a horror. It's a fun, fantastical and interesting podcast that I like dearly.

The job of the people working at Amelia is to help people disappear, and the possibilites are just as wild as you can imagine.

And while writing this I have discovered new episodes have come out! How exciting!

The Edge of Sleep

Strong premise, but didn't really do it for me. Sorry Markiplier.

Production very good, acting also good, there was just something about it that didn't click with me. Personally will not be listening to the next season.

The premise is that one night, everyone who falls asleep dies. It follows a cast of characters trying to do whatever they can to stay awake.

Limetown

Recently started listening to it, currently on episode 4: DDOS.

With the first episode being from July 2015, Limetown really sucks you in from the first episode. It follows Leah Haddock as she investigates the sudden disappearance of every single person in Limetown ten years prior. Suffice to say, everything is not as it seems.

A Voice from Darkness

Dr Ryder, totally normal and totally regular guy, hosts a radio show about the paranormal. He's definitely not going to do questionable stuff to help you out of your predicaments no siree.
